Changes to registration during Covid-19 Pandemic
Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, patients are asked to register without coming into the practice. To register you will need to contact us and request a registration pack
Live within our boundary area?
We welcome new patients to the surgery who reside within the catchment area. You can check if you are within our catchment area by entering your postcode below.
How to register
Joining Meddygfa Glan Cynon Surgery is easy. Providing you live within our practice area (generally a CF45 postcode, but see map above), simply pick up an official registration form at our reception desk, and, once completed, hand it back to us. We will then arrange for all your medical records to be transferred from your current surgery.
All patients are given an appointment with the nurse for a short medical check up and with a doctor if on medication. You are asked to bring along a urine sample with you on this visit.
Once you have been given an appointment for your new patient check you may wish to complete a New Patient questionnaire, please request one via our secure online form.
The practice does not discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual orientation or appearance, disability or medical condition.
Accountable/Named GP for All Patients
All patients registered at Meddygfa Glan Cynon Surgery have a named doctor who has overall responsibility for your care and support. If you choose to see another doctor at the surgery you are entirely free to go on doing so exactly as before.
