Ordering a repeat prescription
You can request repeat medication on line. To do this you need to register with the practice and obtain a password to enable you to access this service. Please complete an application form and bring it to the surgery with some photographic ID (passport or driving licence).
If you already have your password then you can click the link below to access My Health Online.
Ordering Prescriptions
All requests for repeat medication need to be made using your repeat medication request slip. If for any reason you do not have this, please ask a receptionist for a duplicate. You must clearly tick the items you need. Please remember, if an item is not ticked it will not be issued.
Patients are able order prescriptions if they have registered with My health online via the Practice. The forms are available here.
To ensure safe prescribing you must inform us at least 2 working days before your medication runs out. This allows our prescribing clerks sufficient time to prepare the prescription for signature and forward to the chemist of your choice.
Please ensure you take responsibility for your medication and allow us sufficient time to safely prepare your repeat. You can request your medication up to one week early. If you choose to allocate a local chemist to pick up for you please allow a further 24 hours for dispensing.
Please only request the medication you need. Do not stockpile medications and do not share with others.
For safety reasons, because many drugs have similar sounding names, repeat prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone.
Local Pharmacies
At all times, and particularly during the pandemic, we will send your prescription directly to a local pharmacy to save you collecting it from the surgery. Please let us know which pharmacy is the most convenient for you.
If you use the services of your local chemist to order your medication and their retain your request slip, please ensure that you inform them EACH month what you need. The Practice will not automatically assume that all items are to be re prescribed.
