Raising Concerns / Putting Things Right

Meddygfa Glan Cynon Surgery aims to provide the best care ad treatment and it is important that we welcome comments and learn from people’s experiences, good and bad.

Sometimes though, things might not go as well as expected.  When that happens, we need to look at what went wrong so we can try to make it better.

This information applies to you if:

  • You are not happy with care or treatment provided by Meddygfa Glan Cynon Surgery.
  • Or if you have any other concerns you think we should know about.

Alternatively, you may be concerned about the experience of a friend or relative, in which case you can complain on their behalf, with their consent to do so.  We cannot discuss the issue with you until the patient gives their written consent.  Written consent will therefore be requested once we receive your complaint, we may also still need to talk directly with the patient. This process is in place because we keep to strict rules of medical and personal confidentiality.

If you are unhappy about the care provided or wish to raise any other concerns you may do so by:

Contacting the Management Team, Julie Smith and Katie Townsend in the first instance by telephoning the practice on 01443 706700 or in writing to Meddygfa, Glan Cyon Surgery, Ty Calon Lan, Oxford Street, Mountain Ash CF45 3HD.

You may also submit a complaint by completing an online form via our website

If you do not wish to submit a complaint directly to the Practice you may also contact the concerns team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg by telephone: 01443 744915 or email them
